Letters and cards are lovely to handwrite, but even lovelier to receive. A handwritten message means so much more, and always brings a little joy.  

Enjoy the beautiful surroundings of The Fat Fox in Greystones who will provide a lovely, calming space, a drink on arrival as well as some 'The Fox & The Flour' cake. 

The tickets for the workshop are €75.00. Enjoy the refreshments as part of the ticket price as well as a personalised calligraphy kit including a pen holder, nib, ink, practice booklet and guide sheets at the workshop which you can keep to use for practice afterward. 

No prior experience is required, and all you need to bring is yourself! In this two-hour workshop for beginners, under the guidance of self-taught calligrapher, Marie-Claire, you will learn: 

- How to set-up your kit and the tools you need 

- The foundations of calligraphy - basic strokes and pressure techniques

- Letter formation and an introduction to word formation 

- Marie-Claire will be there to offer a one-to-one experience throughout the workshop and give direct feedback. There will also be a follow-up with additional resources and guidance on learning
