Join us for a beginner modern calligraphy workshop in The Green Room at Cornercopia, Streatham, to brush up on your writing skills, send cute cards, add a personal touch to gifts or even create your own wedding stationery.

Cornercopia is a plant, homeware and gift store selling useful, unusual and beautiful pieces for your home with the perfect new space for creative workshops. 

In this two-hour workshop for beginners, under Marie-Claire's guidance you will learn:

• How to set up your kit and the tools you need
• The foundations of calligraphy - basic strokes and pressure techniques
• Letter formation and an introduction to word formation 

You will get a personalised calligraphy kit including a pen holder, nib, ink, practice booklet and guide sheets at the workshop which you can keep to use for practice afterward. You will also receive a follow-up after the session with additional resources and guidance on learning. 

No prior experience is required and all materials will be provided.
